Loops Blanc is a single-fermenting sparkling wine, made under the ancestral method, a very old method that produces sparkling wines after a single fermentation. In the ancestral method, the must starts its fermentation in the tank but is bottled before finishing in order to complete the fermentation in the bottle.

Loops Ancestral belongs to a range of wines elaborated by Celler Dues Voltes, located in Vila-Seca (Tarragona) under the project created by Enovitis Smart Wines, a project that was born to enhance, protect, and develop traditional grapes, which grow in unique soils and mesoclimates in the Mediterranean arch and provide additional value.

They make terroir wines from single vineyards that represent the local varieties and perfectly capture the characteristics of the terroir from which they come. Ageing is carried out both in amphorae and barrels, producing different types of wines and applying different maceration techniques with the skins to obtain distinctive results.

Production: 

The grapes are sourced from two different estates. The Vila vineyard in Horta de Sant Joan, a Macabeo plot planted in 1996, and another old Parellada estate in Aiguamúrcia.

The wine is made under the philosophy of minimum intervention. Hand-harvested. Each variety is fermented separately. The fermentation process is completed in the bottle. The wine spends 6 months in the bottle; afterwards it is disgorged to remove any remaining lees.

Small production of 350 bottles. SO2 total: <10 mg/l.

Tasting Notes:

A fresh wine with a light yellow colour. It presents fine, persistent, well-integrated bubbles. On the nose, the aromas of white fruit stand out along with light notes of yeast. In the mouth, it enters with good intensity and correct acidity. The aromas of white fruit also stand out, with a finish reminiscent of light, pleasantly bitter notes.

It could contatin natural sediments.
