Production: Made from a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, sourced from the estate Chateau Moulin Saint-Georges, purchased in 1921 by the Vauthier Family and owner of the prestigious Chateau Ausone. The Chateau Moulin Saint-Georges is located not far from Chateau Ausene and the vineyard is just outside the village of Saint-Emilion, 7 ha of vines planted on clay over limestone soils with a western exposure. The vines are on average 25 years of age. The wine has aged for up to 18 months in new French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: Good fruit expression, aromas of raspberries, cherries, cassis licorice, tobacco, violet flowers, lightly toasted and full bodied.
Notes: Drink now through 2030.
