Winery:  Bodegas Morca

Region:  D.O. Campo de Borja

Vintage:  2020

Bottle:  75 cl

Grape Varieties: 100% Garnacha

Type:  Red Wine, oak aged

Alcohol Volume:  16 %

Serving Temperature:  17º - 18º

Production: A 100% Grenache-based wine sourced from the younger vines of the estate. Garnacha grapes from small plots with low yields, hand harvested, fermented separately in small vats at a controlled temperature of 22º-26ºC. Matured for 15 months in French oak barrels. Every barrel is sampled and submitted to a strict selection for the production of this exclusive and limited wine.

Tasting Notes:  Spices, licorice, plums, black cherries, mocha, cedar wood, subtle oak, smooth and velvety tannins, concentration, balance, and length. All class and finesse.

Notes: It shows great potential for aging. Drinks very well now and over the next 10-12 years. Matching perfectly with rice, all sorts of red and white meats, grilled, stewed, or roasted, poultry, smoked seafood, blue and cured cheeses, casserole dishes.

THE WINERY

The Juan Gil family group's most recent project, Bodegas Morca in Campo de Borja, is the second winery in Aragón that is part of the group. The project began in 2014 with the successful launch of the small winery in the village of Borja, northwest of the province of Zaragoza (Aragón), in an area dominated by the Moncayo Mountain range. Currently, the bodega owns 120 hectares of vineyard, up from the 30 hectares at its beginning.
