Production:  Behind the Els Vil-lusionistes there is a young project, the joint effort of two friends originally from La Villela Baixa whom with the support and encouragement of a group of family members, friends and contributors started to make their wine Unàmin with their grandparents’ grapes, from old vineyards that have been taken care and worked by their grandparents and parents before them. The grapes are sourced from 3 different vineyards, ranging from 30 to 55 years old, and composed of different terroirs; “El Voltó” made up of slate soils “llicorella”, “El Pinar” and “La Planeta” with loam sandy and stony soils. They make their wines with minimal intervention, they do not use wood, the wines are aged principally in amphora and in Inox and they are steadily working to convert their wines to organic farming.

The Unànim, Cos i Ànima/Body & Soul, is a young wine from old vines, 100% Grenache grapes, sourced from the 3 different vineyards, 3 different terroirs. The finer and subtler Grenache comes from “El Voltó”, the younger Grenache from “El Pinar” and “La Planeta” and the older Grenache is sourced from “El Pinar” where the vines of more than 50 years old grow. The wine is vinified separately by terroirs and at their different ripening times to capture the telltale stamp of each site. The coupage is made with hardly no intervention just a light filtration afterward it ages for 8 months in inox and 4 months in bottle.

Tasting Notes:  A smooth, subtle wine, flavorful, red cherry fruit, spicy tones and a touch of herbal notes, marked tannins, good acidity and balance.
