Production: Raimon Castellvi from Celler Encastell in Porrera, goes back to his roots to elaborate his own wines in the village of El Guiaments, the same village where he originally comes from and where still stands the old family home “Cal Bessó”, and it is here in the celler´s house where Raimon has buil-up a Celler to make his own wines within the DO Montsant. The first harvest took place in 2015, a small production from their 7ha of vines.
Lo Cirerer is made from grapes sourced from the vineyards: “La Presa” and “Les Rotes” in Els Guiaments, mainly made from Black Grenache and in smaller proportion, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Tempranillo. The wine ages during 6 months in French and American oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: Fresh and fruity on the nose, dark cherry, subtly spicy with a forest herby edge. Rounded and easy-drinking, medium bodied, fruity with rich flavours, showing excellent freshness towards its finish.
Notes: Drink now during the next 3 -4 years.
