LA BODEGA

Gómez Cruzado is a Boutique winery located in the well-known Barrio de la Estación, the railway station District in Haro (La Rioja), a unique place with a long history and a long tradition in wine making, considered as the birth place of Rioja wine. A Bodega with origins dating back to 1886, still maintaining its family-business style and remaining faithful to its heritage of the fine wine style of Haro’s Barrio de la Estación. Although the annual production is small, it has already established a reputation for the quality of their wines, given good credits to the two winemakers and viticultures who are in charge of the project, Juan Antonio Leza and David González, for all their input at running the winery and their vision in creating wines with their own personality and character that reflect the terroir where they come from. wines that reflect the terroir where they come from. Wines born from privileged terroirs, the grapes come from vineyards in the highest areas of Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa, from a mix of almost a hundred different plots in three very different terroirs and three microclimates: Sierra Cantabria, Bajo Najerilla and Alto Najerilla.
