The last addition to join the Cosmic family is this Encarinyades, a single vineyard wine without added sulphites made from the blend of the three Carinyenas from the same plot, this is a wine hard to classify as red or white. With this wine his creator Salvador Batlle experiments with creativity and modernity while aiming in the use and recovery of the generic patrimony of the white Carinyena, a historic variety in the DO Empordà.

This wine is made from a single plot in the in the Agullana municipality in the comarca of Alt Empordà (Girona), sourcing the first grapes of the white Carignan young vines planted in 2014 which will be blended with the grapes from the oldest vines of red Carignan and the grapes sourced from the re-planted vines of Grey Carignan.

Vinification:

The wine is organically farmed following the biodynamic principles, working with sacred geometry. Manual harvested following the Byodinamic calendar.

Vinifies the 3 varieties together in clay Amphora with indigenous yeasts, followed by an ageing with its lees in clay amphoras. SO2 < 10mg/l.

Tasting Notes:  Complex nose of attractive notes of red fruits. Fresh entry on the palate with just the right level of acidity over a minerally background and a light mouthfeel.

Cosmic Vinyaters is the project of a new generation of winemakers,  passionate, enthusiastic and talented young people with the aim to produce  small-crafted volumes of well-made wines with their own unique identity, totally respecting the values of the fruit and showing a great respect of nature and of the expression of terroir. They practise sustainable viticulture following the Biodynamic principles.
