Production: Ecologic red wine from a single vineyard, "L'Obaga de Tomaset" located at the feet of the mountain range " La Serra de Pàndols" composed of lime rock soils and planted with Morenillo, a variety almost extinguished in the Terra Alta, that has been recently recovered with native plants. The cultivation of the vineyards is organic, only using organic fertilizers and natural products. The wine has fermented and macerated for 21 days in stainless steel vats with indigenous yeast and aged for 9 months in clay amphoras. 3258 Bottles produced.
Tasting Notes: Nicely black ripe fruit, toasty and mineral nose with good grip and sweet spices. Savory, quite intense, good balance between fruit and wood, mature tannins, fresh acidity and long finish.

Celler Bàrbara Forés is a family owned winery that dates back to the 19th century. It takes the name from its original founder and winemaking, a pioneer of the 19th century, Bàrbara Forés (1825-1905), who together with her son Rafael Ferrer, built the Bodega and equipped it for bottling wine, which was something rare in that century. Now the winery is in the hands of their descendant Carmen Ferrer and her husband Manuel Sanmartin, who took the winery over in 1994, restoring it and making it work again. Actually, they have 45 ha. of which 22 ha. are planted with vines.
