Production: This is a High-mountain Wine, from vineyards growing on poor slate, stony and clay-calcareous soils, located at 800 meters above the sea level, on the north face of La Sierra de Prades, in a privileged and magical setting, surrounded by High mountains and forest in the Natural Park of Prades and the Natural Park of Poblet. The grapes growing at high altitudes are noted for their higher natural acidity content which benefits the production of a wine of much higher quality that exhibits an amazing depth, concentration and complexity, qualities that contribute to its unique personality and give them a remarkable capacity for ageing.
The wine is a monovarietal made from the local variety Garrut (also known in other regions as Monastrell, Mourvèdre), this wine is part of the recovery project of indigenous varieties launched by the winery from its beginning under the umbrella of the DO Conca de Barberà. Fermented with the skins and aged for 6 months half in amphora of 500 liter and half in 500-liter used French oak barrels
Tasting Notes: Intense notes of red fruit combined with aromatic herbs like fennel and menthol. Excellent freshness and acidity on the palate and remarkable intensity all the way to the end.
