Continuing with the Celler’s philosophy of focusing on the elaboration of monovarietal wines from their main native regional grapes, they produce Tremenda, their fourth mono-varietal wine made exclusively from 100% Carignan (samsó) old vines of over 50 years of age and sourced from "La Seneta" vineyard.

Production:  

The wine has been aged for 14 months in new French oak barrels.

Tasting notes: 

Displays good intensity and concentration of beautifully jammy fruit aromas on the nose, combined with balsamic and spice notes. Opulent and expressive, meaty notes with a good concentration of very ripe fruit, spice and fruit in harmony, smoky and fat with marked velvety tannins. A wine with a long life ahead. Super!

THE WINERY

Vins del Tros is a small winery located in the historic village of Vilalba dels Arcs within the D.O. Terra Alta. This is a project that two longtime friends and wine enthusiasts, Joan Ramon Bada, an oenologist, and Josep Arrufat, a winegrower, just launched. When, in 2009, and with the support and encouragement of their own families, they began producing their own wines, their aim was to make wines that would preserve the varietal's typicity and highlight the true characteristics of their home region, Terra Alta.

All their wines are sourced from specific vineyards planted with the region’s traditional grape varieties and have an average age of 18 to 90 years.
