Prades 950 is a high mountain red wine organically produced, born in the mountains of Prades, a privileged enclave at 950 meters above sea level, where the grapes find its ideal microclimate and ground composed of slate stone which give the wine its mineral touch. The grapes come from their own estate; vines planted on steep sloped terraces that stretch from the Poblet forest to the village of Prades. Harvested by hand, macerated and fermented in stainless steel containers, vinified separately by grape varieties and vineyards. The wine ages during 12 months in French oak barrels and once bottled, continues its repose until is ready to be released into the market. Commercialised outside any Denomination of Origin.

Celler Totó Marqués is a small family run operation with 21 hectares of own vines, organically certified by the authority CCPAE, the Catalan Council of organic production, the public watchdog responsible to the ministry of Agriculture of the Catalan Government. They produce wines since 2015 in the village of Poboleda within the DOQ Priorat, their project Prades 950 was born from their interest to recover the vine growing culture of the region and achieve high altitude wines with a minimum intervention and organically farmed, wines with character and personality, wine that speaks of the terroir where they come from. The winery is in the small village of Prades in the province of Tarragona, all the grapes are sourced from their own estate, in the mountains of Prades. The 2016 was their first vintage.

Tasting Notes:  Good concentration of dark berry fruit with spice, mineral notes and smoky hints. Mouthfilling layers of liquorice, plums blackcurrants, full bodied, smooth and expressive, ripeness, while at the same time retaining freshness and fruit, superb structure and warm finish.

Notes: It is recommended letting the wine breathe in the glass in order to achieve Its maximum flavours. Good aging potential
