Production: Made from 100% Trepat, a grape variety indigenous to the Conca de Barberà region. The grapes are harvested manually slightly over-ripe selected from vines over 50 years of age. Aged in 225 liters new French oak barrels for six months.
This is a small family winery, with roots that can be traced to 1781, as recorded in the history archives the family has been dedicated to growing vines ever since the 18th century. Today the family owns 80 Ha. Of vineyards in the Conca de Barberà and it is run by Carles Andreu, whom in 1991 and continuing with the family tradition, established the actual Bodega that bears his name in the village of Pira, where they elaborate a nice selection of cavas and wines of a great quality.
Tasting Notes: Intense and frank nose with scents of red berry fruit and hints of cinnamon. Soft entry on the palate, medium-bodied, displays good spicy fruit and a taste of jammy fruit. Elegant and long finish.
