An extraordinay wine of Terroir of elegant and complex character, made from 100% Tinta de Toro (local name for the Tempranillo grape) exclusively ungrafted from selected very old vines, over 45 years-old in age and planted on their own roots-Pylloxera free.

Production: 

After a meticulous work at the vineyard always with a total respect of nature and of the expression of the terroir, the grapes are hand harvested to get the most intense and mature fruit. The vinification is artisanal in a modern winery.  

Fermented in cement vats and matured during 16 months in 225-liter Frech oak barrels.

Aged in bottled a minimum of 24 months before its release.

Tasting Notes: Intense and smooth, voluptuous and round with a huge weight of ripe plum fruit, deep fruit, good structure, power and class. Great length and plenty of tannins, firm and round. A big Toro wine in need of food.

Note:  With a good structure to age it should evolve for another 8 to 15 years.

THE WINERY

Proprietor Antony Terry, a vigneron in Toro, made his passion into reality with the support of his family and as a result, Dominio del Bendito winery is born in 2004, from here onwards Antony produces his wines, authentic and personal of the highest quality, exclusively handcrafted red wines made of Tinta de Toro, sourced from the 13 hectares of own vineyards plus another 15 ha. that he manages very closely. Small plots in one of the best vineyards in Toro: “La Jara”, a unique and ancient vineyard site next to the river Duero, enjoying exceptional climatic and geological conditions and where most of the vines are very old, over 45 years old, planted on its own roots and the 20% of the rest between 14 and 30 years old.
