Sourced from still quite young Grenache vines from a small parcel planted on llicorella and farmed biodynamically.

The grapes have been hand-sorted. Fermentation takes place only with natural yeast.

Aged for 14 months in two 3000 litre French oak Foudres and amphorae.

Contains low quantities of sulphites.  9333 Bottles

Today, their vineyards are fully recognised and certified by the Catalan Organic Farming Council (CCPAE) and they also apply preparations based on biodynamic farming methods,  following the calendar of the planets in both vineyards and winery.

Planetes is the first "Vi de la Vila" from Porrera to come out on the market in the 2008 vintage. The new legislation, introduced in 2009 by the DOQ Priorat, recognises and protects each region´s different characteristics, such as vinicultural, climatic, soil, etc.with the purpose of highlighting their particular characteristics.

Tasting Notes:  Nicely perfumed and elegant, with fresh fruit, black cherry, and subtle mineral notes on the nose. Elegant and long; soft, silky and pleasant on the palate. Good acidity and freshness with nicely rounded, soft, velvety tannins. A wine that speaks clearly of its origins.

Notes: It is recommended to keep for at least a year for optimal consumption, and it will drink well over the next decade. It would improve greatly with 2 hours of decanting or letting the wine breathe in the glass in order to achieve its maximum flavours.
