Production:  Sourced from vineyards scattered among eleven valleys and are terraced or planted on steep slopes. The soil is made up of the characteristic Slate, named “Licorella”. The winery is located on the outskirts of the Priorat Village of Bellmunt del Priorat, on the Banks of the river Siurana.  Gran Cruor is the Flagship wine of the winery in which the Syrah grape is by all accounts the protagonist.    

The wine has been aged for 18 months in new French oak.

 

Tasting Notes:  Bouquet quite complex, showing intense aromas of ripe red fruit, spices, mineral and toasted notes from the new oak barrels. On the palate the wine has texture, complexity and distinction. Splendid integration of oak, acidity and tannins.

 

This wine has been subjected to a minimum clarification process, and therefore could contain natural sediments. It is recommended to decant prior serving. Drink now through 2026.
