Lo petitó, as its name indicates, is the youngest wine of the celler, a blend of Merlot and Syrah sourced from its own vineyards.
Each variety fermented separately at 15 ºC for approximately 20 days; afterwards, 50% rested in stainless steel vats with their fine lees, and the other 50% remained for 6 months in oak.
A young, fresh, and lively red wine. Good intensity aromatic with a mix of red and dark fruits, balsamic notes, and spicy touches. Round with good depth and freshness on the palate, flavors-filled, smooth, and flavorsome with a dry finish.
Notes: Drink now and over the next 2–3 years.
Toni Ripoll is the owner and winemaker of Celler Pascona, a small winery located in the village of Falset. He makes his wines from the 14.5 ha of vineyards divided into 17 different plots stretched around the cellar and planted on terraces with different orientations and three different types of soil: clay, granite, and the typical slate soil, locally known as llicorella.
