Production: An Organic wine made according to the regulations of the governing body of organic viticulture, sourced from vines planted between 1976 and 1992 on calcareous, clayey soils with low levels of organic material and high magnesium contents at an altitude of 350 meters. Harvested and selected manually. Fermentation takes place during 9 days at a temperature of 23ºC. Softly clarified, cold stabilized and lightly filtered before bottling.

All of Albet I Noya’s wines are fully certified organic, CCPAE for European market.

The winery is located on the Ordeal Mountain range in the Penedès region, the Albet I Noya family has been one of the pioneering organic winemakers in Spain, having switched 100% of the estate over to organic farming methods. At the moment the estate comprises of 145 hectares of which 80.5 are planted with completely organic vineyards This superior producer makes a wide range of wines including cavas, from a variety of both local and international grape varieties.  

Tasting Notes:  Dark fruit scented nose and balsamic notes.  Dense in structure, reveals a dark fruit character, with rounded tannins and silky texture.

Notes: Has good potential to evolve in the bottle for 2 – 3 years.
