Production: A natural young wine whose grapes come from the “Bassotets” vineyard, made up of clay and calcareous soil and located at an altitude of 450 meters above the sea level. The wine is organically farmed using biodynamic principles. Hand harvested and fermented in stainless steel vats using natural yeasts. Spends 10 months in stainless steel deposits. No Sulphur is added, and the wines are bottled without fining or filtration. 7 mg/l SO2 total.
Joan Ramon Escoda and Carmen Sanahuja, farmers, wine growers and wine makers, started in 1997 using organic farming methods and as from 2003 they are following the Biodynamic methods of agriculture in their land. They are members of the Natural Wine Producers association as well as of the Mediterranean Biodynamic Work Group.
Totally respecting the values of the fruit and of nature, they use indigenous wine yeast for grape fermentation and they do not carry out any type of filtering, clarifying or stabilising of their wines. Tasting Notes: A characteristic nose of ripe red fruit and Mediterranean forest. Light and creamy textured, earthy fruit characters with spice, smooth tannins and fresh acidity. it is recommended to let the wine breathe for a short time.
