Production: This small family-run operation now under the command of Francesc Ferré, the new generation of a local family dedicated for decades to the farming of grapes in Corbera d’Ebre, has moved on with the arrival of the new generation, starting a personal project, continues farming his own grapes organically to produce his own wines, where he employs his expertise and enthusiasm to create wines of high quality with personality that keep improving since his first vintage in 2004.
La Foradada de Frisach is a Brisat wine, grapes sourced from the plot called "Finca Quart" vineyard property of the family Frisach located in Corbera d’Ebre in the Terra Alta region. White Grenache vines of over 20 years old, organically farmed and grown on clay – stony and calcareous soil. The wine is made from 100% white Grenache but following the vinification process for red wine, that consist of a prolonged fermentation of two weeks in stainless steel in contact with the skin which provides the wine with a deeper golden color and body. The wine will remain with its lees without stirring for almost a year. Not filtered, stabilized by the cold of winter and no added sulfites.
Tasting Notes: Full and round, green almonds, rosemary, wild fennel and freshly cut grass scented nose combined with citric aromas and white fruit. Warm with an enjoyable harmonious mouthful. Remarkable lively wine that will take you back all the way to its origins.
