Production: Coma Blanca or "La Grand Dame", the jewel of Mas d'en Gil, a complex and deep white wine that can easily be drank after reds,a wine that wakes up and shows its potential after the fourth year. A blend of White Grenache from two different plots and Macabeo from another two vineyards. Classified Old vines planted between 1941 and 1945 on llicorella, river pebbles and sand soils. The wine has aged for 9 months in 500L French oak barrels (30% new) and another 24 months in bottle, before being released.
Mas D’en Gil, owned by the Rovira Family since 1998, is a 125 ha. estate situated in the municipal district of Bellmunt del Priorat, in the south of the historical Priorat area, of which 45 ha. are planted with vines on terraces and hillsides, located at 300 meters above sea level on llicorella soils, the distinctive Priorat´s slate soil.
Tasting Notes: Golden yellow color, elegant and complex nose, frutal background, stone white fruit, aromatic herbal notes with a toasted hint, broad , savory and unctuous.
Notes: It is recommended to decant before serving to fully enjoy its aromas and flavours. Good ageing potential.
