Serving Temperature10º-12ºC.

Production:

A blend of native varieties; the legendary Albariño (approximately 70%) with those of the singular Loureira and Caiño Blanco. The albariño grapes are selected from the plots at Eiras-Bostelo, the lowest situated vineyard, with high humidity, south-facing and warmer temperatures, producing an albariño based wine that is highly concentrated, has less acidity, and more body.

Terras Gauda is the flagship wine of the winery and a notably consistent wine, showing the benefits of a wise blend of autochthonous grape varieties.

Tasting Notes:

It shows a powerful, quite complex nose with aromas of white fruits, subtle floral notes and mineral hint. Personally-filled, structured with a smooth and creamy palate, bright acidity and good length.

Notes: Best enjoyed over the next 2–3 years.

Terras Gauda Winery was founded in 1990 and is now a fairly large size operation by regional standards. Both the winery and its 70 ha of own vineyards are located at an altitude of 50–150 metres above sea level in a privileged landscape in the O’Rosal Valley, close to the mouth of the river Miño in the A Guarda Area, just across from its neighbouring Portugal. The vineyards enjoy an exceptional microclimate characterised by mild temperatures, very little frost, and abundant rainfall.
