Production: The grapes are sourced from young vines from Finca Maetierra, vineyard located in Calahorra – La Rioja -. Harvested at night, grape selection at the winery.
Maetierra is a winery in La Rioja Region that exclusively makes white wines in a red wine producing land. Started as an experimental approach making wines in 2001 by the School of Oenology of La Rioja. heir project had an interest in rescuing the autochthones white variety of Rioja: La Moscatel de grano menudo, which had practically disappeared due to the phyllosera at the end of the XIX century, today of the 150 Ha. Vineyards that comprises the Finca Maetierra, almost 60 Ha. are planted with this variety. In 2003 the winery led the creation of Valles de Sadacia, a new Geographical Indication for White Wines.
This winery is part of the Vintae Group, an innovative young and dynamic enterprise, whom elaborate wine in 8 different D.O. in Spain. Founded in 1999 by Jose Miguel Arambarri, a passionate entrepreneur from La Rioja and a great connoisseur and enthusiastic of the wine world.
