Goliardo Loureiro is made with 100% Loureiro grapes. A very rare red variety from Rias Baixas practically forgotten and recovered in small vineyards close to the sea. The Loureiro is characterised by its low productivity and its late ripening, reaching a good acidity due to the influence of the Atlantic climate.

It comes from 45-year-old vines grown at 10 meters of altitude on sandy and pebble soils and marked by their proximity to the sea.

Production:

The grapes are hand harvested. Fermented destemmed with indigenous yeasts in open stainless steel desposits. Aged for 12 months in used 500-liter oak barrels.

Very small production.

Tasting Notes: Dark red colour. Intense with herbacecous and floral notes, mineral background with a saline touch, slightly rustic and a little earthy. Fresh acidity.

BODEGAS FORJAS DEL SALNÉS

Forjas del Salnés is the project of Rodrigo Méndes and Raúl Pérez, founded in 2005. The winnery is located in the Val do Salnés area of Rías Baixas. A project that produces a series of excellent wines from 7.5 hectares of vineyards, partly owned and partly leased, distributed between Meaño, Sanxenso, and Barro. They carefully select their vineyards, searching for and recovering old vineyards and farming organically. All the plots are vinified separately, and only wooden vats, large used barrels, and stainless steel vats are used in the winery.
