Production:

A single-vineyard wine of a very small production, Estones Coster d’en Fornós belongs to the project of Cellar Vins de Mas Sersal, a single varietal of Carinyena (samsó) from very old vines of over 90 years of age, sourced from the "Coster d’en Fornós" a very small plot of just 0.3 ha in the municipal district of Els Guiaments in the DO Montsant.

The wine has fermented in open oak barrels with autochthonous yeasts and aged for 12 months in oak barrels.  Limited production of just 387 bottles. 

Tasting Notes:  Ripe dark fruit, menthol and eucalyptus notes, chocolate notes, and spices. Pleasant and fresh on the palate, good fruit expression, slightly spicy, good balance and acidity, smooth long finish.

Note: It is recommended to let the wine breathe in the glass for a short time to achieve its maximum potential. This is a wine to be enjoyed over the next 5– 6 years.
