Production:  Elaborated mainly with the native Grenache grape and a small input from the Macabeus grape, sourced from 20 – 40 year old vines planted at an altitude of between 150 – 450 metres. Maceration in cold during 4 days. Fermentation at controlled temperature of 14 – 16ºC  in stainless steel tanks, cold stabilized, light filtration, soft fining before bottling-

Tasting Notes:  Attractive fruit flavors of peach, pear, mango combined with attractive floral-herbal notes. Pleasant freshness and balance, soft-textured, displays lovely fruit and floral character. Finishes with a lengthy fruit filled note.

Notes:   It combines with all type pf seafood, fish, chicken, paella, risotto and salads.

The Winery

Founded in 1933 by five families from the village of Capçanes, who together established a cooperative that would handle large quantities of grapes economically and efficiently. The cooperative bears the name of the village where it is located: Capçanes, a village hidden away in the Priorato hills inland from Tarragona and with a long wine-growing history.
In the 1990s, the company was reinvented as an independent company with its original members as shareholders; today, they have around 130 members and produce a wide selection of high-quality wines, including the well known Peraj Ha’abib, a Kosher wine, under the Montsant appellation.
