Production: 

Traditional sweet wine made from 100% Grenache. Fortified with alcohol until it reaches 15% vol. Long ageing of 24 months in French oak followed by ageing in stainless steel deposits before being bottled.

Tasting Notes:

Walnut colour with some reddish hints. Beautifully combining floral and red fruit aromas with intense notes of toffee and caramel. Soft sweetness along the palate, balsamic notes. Succulent and flavorful, unctuous with excellent acidity and a long sweet finish.

Notes: Excellent with all types of desserts and salty dry fruits.

The Winery

Founded in 1933 by five families from the village of Capçanes, who together established a cooperative that would handle large quantities of grapes economically and efficiently. The cooperative bears the name of the village where it is located: Capçanes, a village hidden away in the Priorato hills inland from Tarragona and with a long wine-growing history.
In the 1990s, the company was reinvented as an independent company with its original members as shareholders; today, they have around 130 members and produce a wide selection of high-quality wines, including the well known Peraj Ha’abib, a Kosher wine, under the Montsant appellation.
