BMA Tempranillo and Malbec is the winery's flagship wine, a unique, fine, and elegant "Tempranillo y Malbec" (red label). An exceptional wine with a production of 9500 bottles.

The wine is the first in the Ribera del Duero appellation to incorporate 25% Malbec in its blend. Although the Malbec variety has been part of the Ribera del Duero since its beginnings as one of the foreign varieties and is one of the most challenging grape varieties to cultivate in the region, Bosque de Matasnos has managed to make the variety flourish due to the altitude at which the vineyards are located.

The wines of the Bosque de Matasnos are the result of an exciting project born in the highlands of the Ribera del Duero, in a unique place surrounded by forest. The Bosque is a sustainable winery with an endless source of natural resources. All the work is done manually, from the field to the winery, and goes through the process of rigorously selecting all the raw materials, not only the best grapes but also the best cooperages in the world.

Production:

Made from 75% Tempranillo and 25% Malbec. The grapes are sourced from high-altitude vineyards at 950 metres in the area of Peñaranda de Duero, on loamy, clayey, and sandy soils.

The grapes are manually sorted and strictly selected in the vineyard to discard any clusters that lack the quality to be included in the blend, and then a second selection is made once they reach the cellar using a double sorting table.

Slow, temperature-controlled fermentations, only using indigenous yeasts selected from its own forest.

Aged exclusively in new 500-litre French oak barrels that have been specially selected for this wine. Clarified with natural egg whites.

Tasting Notes:

A fine, elegant, fresh, and fruity wine. Intense cherry red colour, clean and bright. Dark and red fruit nose, smoky cherry notes, spice and fruit in harmony, blackberry compote, cassis, clove, and floral hints. On the palate, it exhibits dark berry fruit flavours with fine, silky tannins and notes of spice and liquorice, dried figs, nutmeg, tobacco, and leather. Ripe and fresh finish.
