The Knockando distillery was built in 1898 in the village bearing the same name. It stands on the banks of the river Spey, which gives its name to Speyside, a region in the north-eastern Scottish Highlands, well known as the home of the finest malt whiskies.

It is elaborated only with the purest natural ingredients: malted barley, yeast and crystal clear spring water from the Cardnach spring. Aged for a minimum of 12 years, it undergoes a gentle maturation in oak casks slowly to reveal the subtle aromas. The Knockando is bottled as one single "season" at a time, and each bottle proudly states its year of distillation.

Knockando possesses a unique elegance and fruitiness with delicate aromas and a distinctive fresh almond note. Smooth but complex with slightly smoky and sweet notes.
