Glenfiddich, a distillery since 1887, is family-owned and run now by the fifth generation. It is based in Dufftown-Speyside, and it has been kept independent, setting its own standards and rules in order to create a skilfully crafted single malt Scotch whisky in the traditional Speyside style. Glenfiddich, meaning Valley of the Deer in Gaelic, is a perfect valley for making malts, with the unique freshness from the same highland spring water flowing here and used since 1887 and taking advantage of the cool microclimate that ages the malts much slower.

Glenfiddich 16 years is a limited edition, skilfully crafted under the expertise of the malt master, Brian Kinsman, and together with the Aston Martin Formula One Team. It is a symbol of intuition, the union of innovation and excellence, combining craftsmanship and precision.

It has been formed through a marriage of American oak wine casks, new American barrels and second-fill bourbon casks. 

This whisky is deep and balanced. Displays rich notes of maple syrup and caramelised ginger. Silky palate of fresh fruit and chantilly cream. The finish is smooth and warm with hints of spice, smoky nuances and notes of dried fruits.
