This Solera Gran Reserva Brandy has been distillated from wine made from the Airen variety at low graduation in copper pot stills. The brandy is matured in American Oak casks, which have previously held Sherry, fino, and amontillados wines, from where it gets its extraordinary amber colour.

Sánchez Romate Hnos, an independent and family-owned company since 1781, elaborated this Solera Gran Reserva Brandy that takes its name from the 1000 barrels of "holandas" ageing in their cellars in Barricas, which are the origin to the "Uno en Mil - Single Oak Casks".  Each cask shows its individuality characteristics due to different factors, such as location, that affect the ageing of the brandy; for this reason, they are individually selected one by one prior to their bottling, numbering each bottle to its barrel of origin, that is why it is called "Single Oak Cask".      

Tasting Notes: 

An exceptional brandy with a beautiful amber colour, displaying good complexity of aromas and balanced by a smooth and delicate-textured roundness on the palate. Perfect as an after-meal drink, to be savoured straight or with a splash of water or with ice.
