Production: Another success from Clos Figueras, this time they introduce their first sweet wine elaborated from 100% Grenache late harvested overripe grapes. The grapes are hand harvested and selected both in the vineyard and the cellar. Fermentation takes place in cold and it has been  stopped on purpose before  reaching the end to obtain the sugar. Production: 1092 bottles.

Clos Figueras was purchased in 1997 by Charlotte and Christopher Cannan on the recommendation of Réne Barbier, the 18 hectares estate is located just to the north of the famed town of Gratallops. Actually, the vineyard includes around 2500 of old Grenache and Carignan vines, which are the base for the Clos Figueres, the rest of the vines were planted in 1998 and are the base for the elaboration of Font de la Figuera and Sierras del Priorat.

Tasting Notes: Red sweet wine with a clean strawberry red colour.  Floral scented nose, roses and violets, combined with blackcurrant and almond notes. Fresh and velvety on the palate, smooth and long, bursting with red fruits and ending in a lengthy pleasantly finish.
