Noval's LBV porto comes from vineyards located on the steep hillsides in the winding valley of the Douro river in northern Portugal, considered one of the most promising wine regions in Portugal.

Production: 

Hand-picked, the grapes are trodden by foot in “lagares” and aged in used large wooden barrels for 4 to 5 years. (The wood used is over 30 years old, therefore, no wood flavors are transmitted to the wine).

Noval's LBV is an intense, rich, dark red port, with ripe aromas of cherries and blackberries and opens up in the glass to reveal vibrant, concentrated fruit, backed up by fine, silky tannins. Complex structure and luscious, ripe fruit.

Notes: Filtered. It contains no sediments and does no need to be decanted.

Quinta do Noval is one of the most famous quinta in the port industry and is well-known throughout the world for its port wines. The Quinta occupies a privileged position above the Pinhão Valley, in the very heart of the Douro Valley, and its earliest recorded history dates back to 1715. The vineyard comprises 145 ha, planted with the noblest grape varieties of the Douro: Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Cão, Sousão.
