Production:   Orujo is a Spanish liquor very similar to other European distilled spirits such as marc from France, grappa from Italy, which is produced mainly in the northern region of Spain. It is a liquor obtained from the distillation of the grape marcs, the solid parts of the grapes, from Albariño grapes sourced from their own vineyards, of artisanal distillation and using the traditional copper pot.

It is an excellent digestive.

Bodegas Zarate is a family run winery established in 1920 at the heart of the "Val do Salnés" in the D.O Rias Baixas, one of the pioneers in the region in elaborating albariño wines. Eulogio Pomares Zárate, 3rd generation has taken over the running of the winery and the estate, 6.54 ha of vines divided over 11 parcels, mainly planted with the Albariño variety and with an average age of 35 years.
