Production: Chateau Paquita is the personal project of Eloi Cedó Perelló, a wine named after his own mother as a homage to her. It can be classified as a garage wine, made by Sistema Vinari in Binissalem, Mallorca where Eloi collaborates with Bodega 4 Kilos Vinícola. Cható Pqta is a natural wine without SO2 added, blend from the local grapes, Callet and Mantonegro, ecologically farmed and following some of thebiodynamic principles. The Callet and the Montenegro fermented partly with whole clusters in stainless steel tank for 20-35 days and the Monastrell undergoes carbonic maceration in stainless steel tank. Ageing for 6 months in 500l French oak barrel plus 3 months in stainless steel tanks and followed by 6 months rest in bottle. SO2 9mg/l. The wine is sold without any appellation of origin.
Tasting Notes:Fresh red fruit scented nose, complemented by herbal and spiced undertones. Medium body, juicy and smooth palate with plenty of wild berry fruit flavours and Mediterranean herbs, keenly balanced in acidity with fine tannins and a fresh finish.
