Production:

Young red wine, unoaked, single-varietal Carignan, sourced from selected grapes from own vineyards planted on steep slopes south-facing slopes, where the grapes are exposed to the great contrast between the heat of the day and the cold nights, which gives strength and balance to the grapes.

Fermented traditionally in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. The wine has not seen any wood.

Tasting notes: 

Young red wine, deeply coloured, with great aromatic intensity and plenty of ripe fruit. soft and fruity on the palate with concentration and volume, a pleasant flow, and a refreshing and youthful finish.

 

Celler El Masroig is one of the most well-known wineries in the Montsant region. It dates back to 1917 and today comprises over 200 members with approximately 500 ha of vineyards on the property, which makes it one of the largest cellars under the denomination of Origin Montsant.
