Bessons is a single estate wine sourced from Grenache grapes from the "Pineyard", an own vineyard composed of old vines growing on very poor and dry soil on the steep slopes in the municipal district of Torroja del Priorat.

Production: 

Ageing period of 18 months in 225-300-litre French oak barrels. The vineyard has been organically farmed since 2007. Only 190 bottles produced.

Tasting Notes: 

Dark and intense, full-bodied wine. Displays dark fruit flavours combined with violets, chocolate, and spicy notes. Good consistency and firm tannins.

The Bessons is part of the recently renamed winery as Coastal Wines, the personal project of Antoni Sanchez Ortiz and with his new partner, Behn Payten. Toni is in charge of this tiny but very interesting Project. He is a great professional in the wine business and fully committed to quality.

Antoni has a formidable curriculum when it comes to winemaking and brings his formidable experience and youthful passion to the making of this beautifully crafted wine.
