Production:

Sourced from a selection of the best Grenache vines and from 100-year-old Carignan vines, planted on steep slopes on the typical slate soil known as "Llicorella" at an altitude of 350-550 meters above sea level.

The wine was aged for 16 months in Allier French oak, 60% new and 40% 1 year old barrels.  

Tasting Notes:

A high-quality, modern Priorat, clean, and elegant. Excellent concentration of rich dark fruits, minerals, and spices; fresh and warm; deliciously rich flavours. Unctuous tannins with long and spicy, persistent notes on the finish.

La Basseta is, with no doubt, the most feminine wine in their range. A very complex and fine wine, marked by the intensity of the fruit blended and its minerality, which gives it a long and silky finish.

Food Suggestion: Especially red grilled meats, rich meats like lamb and duck, and game.
