It is aged for 14 months in American oak casks and another 12 months in bottle.

Tasting Notes: 

Complex nose with ripe sweet fruit aromas and hints of spice. Meaty and well-structured, it shows ripe fat tannins and a long toasty finish.

Notes: It is recommended to decant. It can be enjoyed very well now and through the next decade.

THE WINERY

Since it was founded in 1927, the company has grown rapidly, becoming one of the region’s most well-known brands. This modern winery in the town of Anguix (Burgos) controls 1400 ha spread out over numerous plots with an average size of around 1 ha dispersed throughout the Ribera del Duero region.

The vineyards are located on the best estates and in areas that are best suited to growing Tempranillo grapes, with the majority of the vineyards planted on south-facing hillsides at elevations of up to 900 metres and comprising a variety of soil types.
