Buxus is a "Vi de Vila", a village wine from Bellmunt, the first wine produced by Xavi Pallejà, a viticultor and winemaker from Bellmunt del Priorat and brother of Meritxell Pallejà, also a winemaker and the creator of Nita wine. He makes the wine from old carinyena vines from the Les Aubagues, a coster vineyard (steep sloped hillside) planted in 1957 and located in Belmunt del Priorat.

Production: 

The wine has fermented in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, followed by 12 months of ageing in French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: 

Red and blackcurrants, blueberries, dried plums, cloves, and spice in a warm, round, full-bodied wine marked by its minerality with a menthol edge, a slight earthy touch, good acidity, and lively tannins.
