Production: 

A blend of old vine white Grenache from 40 years old vines and Macabeu, aged for 4 months in French oak barrels. It has not been filtered or clarified.

Limited production of 1996 bottles.

Tasting Notes: Full-bodied white, good weight and mouthfeel with full with ripe white fruit flavors, dried fruits and toasty flavours, fat and rich, creamy-textured with balancing acidity and good length.

Notes: Drink now or keep a few years.

THE WINERY

Since 1978  Pere Sangenís and Conxita Vaqué are making wines in Porrera, combining the tradition with the new ways. Today  María and Núria Sangenís, their two daughters,  have also joined the team who, alongside Pere, share the responsibility of producing the great  wines.                  

The vineyards are located in the district of Porrera, in the family owned lands since before 1700, within the Priorat Qualified Designation of Origin, on terraced hillsides, formed by the famous “llicorella” (slaty schist land). Very poor land combined with a dry climate ( 550 mm) provides minimal production and therefore maximum quality.
