Vinification:
La Musaranya is pure white Grenache. Lively, direct, and frank, perfect representative of the original flavour of the white grenache from the Terra Alta region.
A 100% Grenache wine made from organic grapes sourced from a combination of older and younger vines.
Hand-picked. Direct pressing with whole grapes. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The wine has not seen any oak; it was aged for 5 months in concrete tanks.
Light finning and filtration. Bottled without added sulphites.

Tasting Notes:
Straw-coloured and very bright. A perfect expression of the Terra Alta's Grenache style. Lively fruit blending beautifully with aromas of white flowers, and fine herbaceous notes. Smooth entry on the palate with good aromatic intensity and clean fruity aromas. Pleasant finish with a spicy feeling.
THE WINERY
Herencia Altés is the project of Nuria Altés, daughter and granddaughter of a local wine grower family in Batea, the main village in Terra Alta, with a long tradition in wine production and accounting for 50% of its entire grape production. Her wines come from the family's vineyards, which are scattered throughout the hillside around the village of Batea. They produce excellent value wines.
The winery produces and grows its grapes organically, and all the wines are duly certified by the authority CCPAE, the Catalan Council of Organic Production, the public watchdog responsible to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Catalan Government.
