Haag Riesling Trocken is made from grapes sourced from the family estate's own vineyards from different sites along the Mosel River, principally from the village of Burgen, on soil made up of weathered blue and grey slate.

Tasting Notes: Rich and flavourful, with a floral bouquet, honey melon, apple, and citrus notes, marked minerality, good acidity, excellent juiciness, and a smooth texture. Finishing long and fruity.

Notes: Beautiful to drink in its youth, but with the potential to improve over the next 5 years.

WEINGUT WILLI HAAG

Small family-owned winery with a long winegrowing tradition, 500 years in the hands of the same family, located in the very heart of the Mosel, in the village of Brauneberg, where their 15th-century house, which once housed the original cellar, is still standing proudly as the village's oldest building. Since 1995, Marcus Haag, the grandson of Willi Haag, has been in charge of the cellars. There, he produces a wide range of wines, focusing entirely on the Riesling grape, combining tradition with innovation.

All of the grapes come from their estate's 6.5 hectares of steep slate-soil vineyards. Some of the vineyard sites are located on the “Juffer”, the name of the steep slope opposite the small town of Brauneberg and overlooking the Mosel River, sites with exceptional potential ideally suited to the Riesling grape, with the best vineyards situated around the sundial (Sonnenuhr), making this one of the top German ideal locations for Riesling wine-growing. An excellent range of wines praised for its excellent quality-price ratio.
