Arethea is Marc Aguiló's project, a small and recently established project that denotes enthusiasm and commitment. Arethea produces a small range with limited productions from singular vineyards within the DOQ Priorat. Wines that transmit the essence of the terroir where they come from.

The project's three wines, one white and two red, come from three plots that are situated in an exceptional location: "Coll de Porrera", between the villages of Falset and Porrera. Old vines growing in vineyards in Costers (natural steep slopes) made up of slate soils (Llicorella) at an altitude of 580 meters above sea level and different orientations.

The vines are cultivated in a traditional manner, following the guidelines of organic farming with the utmost respect for the environment and observing the lunar cycle.

Vinification: 

Aretheal Blanc is a single White Grenache single-varietal. The grapes come from terraced vineyards (locally known as Bancales) in Porrera: "La Mina" and "La Roca", situated at an altitude of 500 metres. Grown organically (pending certification).

Grapes harvested by hand. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak and aged for 2 months in stainless steel.

Production of 600 bottles.

Tasting Notes: 

A terroir-expressive wine. Great personality and intensity, varietal aromas. Notes of white fruit and light citrus notes on the nose, fresh and silky, balanced with just the right level of crisp acidity over a minerally background. Firm finish without being aggressive.
