Cims de Porrera wines are still made in the village co-operative of Porrera, and this team has produced yet another excellent wine with the balance and harmony of a wine made with great care, wines that truly reflect the characteristics of the Priorat region.

Production:

Produced from a blend where the white grenache plays the main role, Picapoll, Pedro Ximénez, and Macabeu grapes are sourced from the youngest vines.

Hand-picked, fermented in new barrels and concrete vats, matured in used French oak for 8 months, followed by another 3 years in bottle.

Elaborated as “Vi de Vila" from Porrera, the new legislation introduced in 2009 by the DOQ Priorat that recognises and protects each region's unique characteristics -viniculture, climate, soil, etc.- with the purpose of highlighting their particular characteristics. 

Tasting Notes:

Fresh with good aromatic complexity and honeyed citrus fruit aromas. Abundance of ripe fruit, pears, and quince types with a bitterish minerality and good acidity, floral hints, and fresh herbs in a long, smooth finish.

Notes: Wine with a good aging potential.
