Production:

Made from a selection of grapes sourced from vineyards and terraces that have been recovered in the natural park of the Montsant mountain range. The vines grow in clay-limestone and clay-ferrous soils at altitudes of 345 and 430 metres above sea level.

Each variety has fermented and matured separately. Fermentation takes place in cement, with subsequent ageing for 16 months. The Carignan ages in new, single-use barrels, while the Garnacha is aged in foudres. Afterwards, the wine is blended and will age for a further 6 months in cement tanks.

The wine has been organically farmed and produced, duly certified by the authority of CCPAE, the Catalan Council of Organic Production, the public watchdog responsible to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Catalan Government.

Tasting Notes:

Very intense and forward. It presents a complex bouquet with aromas of red fruits and cherry in liqueur, accompanied by subtle hints of violets, redcurrants, and wild berries. It's got a nice minerality and a Mediterranean herbal note in the background. On the palate, it is round and fresh, with plenty of fruit flavours and minerality. Fine and elegant tannins. Long finish.
