Behind the Plantadeta Carinyena there is a small family winery, Celler Sabaté, located in the heart of the Priorat Region, in the small town of La Vilella Baixa. Its history dates back to 1910, and it exclusively produces wines from its own vines, thus guaranteeing the quality and authenticity of their wine.

The grapes come from the La Plantadeta estate, from old vines between 40 and 60 years old growing in soil composed of limestone and licorella. "La Plantadeta", the main asset and the soul of the winery, has been in the family for four generations and has been taken care of and worked by their grandparents and parents before them. The winery is currently in the hands of Jaume Sabaté, a fourth-generation member of a family with deep roots in the region.

Production:

Hand-picked grapes. Fermented in small tanks with skins, with daily manual pigeage. Aged for 8 months in egg-shaped clay vats.

Tasting Notes:

Deep cherry red colour. On the nose, it displays intense notes of red fruit, ripe cherry and redcurrant with spicy undertones. On the palate, it is pleasant, with a silky texture, well-integrated tannins, round, intense and highly complex.
