Production: Elaborated from the Trepat varietal, autochthones of the Conca de Barberà region and sourced from three small parcels with different characteristics, totalling 1,2 Ha. of very old vines ranging from 80 – 100 years old. After a hand selection process, the wine is fermented in stainless steel vats during approximately 45 days, followed by an aging of approximately 6 months in 225L French oak barrels.
This young project was born in 2011 initiated by Albert Canela y Mariona Vendrell, a young professional couple with loads of enthusiasm and bringing a formidable experience and a joyful passion to the project, both of them participating in the production of these wines. Based in the denomination of origin of Conca de Barberà, in the province of Tarragona, their vineyards are planted with the Trepat varietal, indigenous to this region and belong to the municipal district of Barberà de la Conca, Sarral y Cabra del Camp.
Tasting Notes: Fresh and fruity, yet elegant and light, with scents of mature red fruit, especially of cherry in liquor and hints of sweet spices. Elegant and flavoured wine with lovely intensity of ripe red fruit on the palate and finishing with a long and a lovely toasty touch.
