New addition to Sangenís i Vaqué, elaborated with 100% Grenache grapes sourced from younger vines of 25 years of age from the Finca "La Cometa" in Porrera.
Production:
Aged for 6 months in oak barrels. The wine has not been filtered or clarified. Limited production of 1600 bottles.
Tasting Notes:
A very classy and youthful wine with a good intensity of red fruits and spices and soft mineral tones. Well-integrated oak with sweet tannins and a lovely fresh fruit finish.
THE WINERY SANGENIS I VAQUÉ
Since 1978, Pere Sangenís and Conxita Vaqué have been making wines in Porrera, combining tradition with new techniques. Today, their two daughters, María and Núria Sangenís, have also joined the team and, along with Pere, share the responsibility of producing great wines.
The vineyards are located in the district of Porrera within the Priorat Qualified Designation of Origin, on the family-owned lands dating back to before 1700, on terraced hillsides formed by the famous "llicorella"(slate schist land). The combination of poor land and a dry climate (550 mm) results in minimal production and thus maximum quality.
