This Matusalem Rum was first distilled in Santiago de Cuba in 1872 according to a secret formula brought from Spain. After being forced to leave Cuba, the descendants of the original makers of Matusalem now craft it in the Dominican Republic. Superbly blended in the grand Cuban tradition, Matusalem Gran Reserva is aged in the Solera process, where various mature fine rums are carefully blended together. The main blender rum is approximately 15 years old and is complemented by other specially selected oak cask-aged rums.

Gran Reserva 15 is a super premium rum complex and sophisticated, with persistent woody notes. Rich flavour of toasted dry fruits and caramel, very pleasant and smooth textured. Ideal for drinking neat on the rocks.
