Production:  Sourced from various of the youngest vineyards, less than 20 years old,  from the Villacreces estate. Organic farming.

The wine has been aged for 12 moths in new French oak barriques.

Pruno is the latest wine from the Villacreces winery, being the 2012 the 5th vintage released in its history. It has the personality and full character of the Finca Villacreces, and the 2010 has been nominated in the EE. UU as the best Spanish wine under 15€. It is a stunning option of a top Ribera del Duero at its very best and at a very affordable price.  Still mantains its stunning value.

 

Tasting Notes:  Fresh, elegant nose of red fruits. Full bodied but juicy lots of fruits, crème de cassis, licorice, spicy supple round tannins, charming style with easy going texture and great complexity.
